A delegation from CCCC / CRBC chaired by Peng Xiaojun, Vice-President of CRBC and President of China Holding Company paid a visit to Morocco as part of the deployment of the Tanger Tech Project, indicates Bank Of Africa (BOA).
A working meeting was held last Wednesday with the Minister of Industry, Trade, Green and Digital Economy, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, in the presence of Moroccan partners, BOA and the Tangier Mediterranean Special Agency (TMSA) , informed the group in a press release.
This meeting was an opportunity to discuss the Investment Agreement that will be put in place in favor of the Société d’Aménagement de Tanger Tech (SATT), specifies the same source.
CCCC / CRBC formalized, in November 2020, their entry into the capital of SATT, up to 35%, alongside BOA, TMSA and the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, the press release said.
The Chinese Delegation was received on Thursday April 1 by President Othman Benjelloun at BOA Headquarters for a working meeting which had to be postponed several times due to the pandemic and travel difficulties from China.
Othman Benjelloun, President of BOA, reiterated the strategic importance of the Mohammed VI Tangier Tech City Project, which illustrates the excellence of Sino-Moroccan relations while laying the foundations for a modern, futuristic, ecological industrial city, connected to new technologies and symbol of an Africa open to the whole world, in accordance with the vision of Our Sovereign Augustus, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him.
The Mohammed VI Tangier Tech City is ultimately intended to be a hard core of development and a vector of growth for the entire African continent.
