On this Thursday, June 15, the nurses of the Independent Union of Nurses and Health Technicians of Morocco (SIITSM) of the seven centers of Morocco organized a sit in and beat the pavement in front of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection .
This demonstration took place to put forward their grievances because they consider themselves wronged and demand wage “equity” as well as pension justice.
” We are observing this sit-in to satisfy several demands, including that of the pension fund in the first place “, explains Ahmed El Shafei, member of the coordination of the University Hospital Centers (CHU) of the SIIM.
Indeed, according to him, there are employees of the same center affiliated with various pension funds. Also on behalf of his family he asks that the method of calculating allowances be unified in addition to calling for the development of human resources in these University Hospitals of the Kingdom.
He also denounces the unfair system of remuneration of the guard where on all the team of nurses only one will receive the allowances.
