According to a security source, the defendant was arrested after the pointing operation in the database of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) revealed that he was the subject of a red notice to the request of the National Central Bureau in Beijing, for his alleged involvement in a case of embezzlement of large sums of money when he worked as an executive in a Chinese public institution.
The suspect, it is added, was placed in police custody by order of the competent public prosecutor’s office, pending his presentation to the judicial authorities responsible for deciding on the extradition requests of the criminals, in accordance with the legal texts. national laws and relevant international conventions.
