On the interbank market, the average daily volume of trade stood at 3.9 billion dirhams and the interbank rate stood at 1.50% on average during this period.
During the call for tenders of April 20 (value date April 21), Bank Al-Maghrib injected an amount of 39.3 billion dirhams in the form of 7-day advances.
On the stock market, the MASI appreciated by 0.7%, bringing its poor performance since the start of the year to 2.2%. This weekly evolution mainly reflects the rises in the indices of the sectors of “mines” by 4.3%, “buildings and construction materials” by 0.9% and “banks” by 0.7%. Conversely, those of real estate and beverages fell by 2.2% and 1.9% respectively.
As for the overall volume of trade, it reached 474.9 million dirhams (MDH) after 830.4 MDH a week earlier. On the central equity market, the average daily volume stood at 93.4 MDH against 150.1 MDH.
