The office of the Chamber of Advisors has decided to postpone the monthly meeting devoted to the Head of Government’s responses to questions relating to general policy to May 25.
In a statement released at the end of a remote meeting Monday from its office, the Chamber of Councilors announced that it had decided to postpone, to May 25, the monthly meeting devoted to the presentation of the Head of Government’s responses to questions relating to to the general policy, which was to be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, around social dialogue and measures aimed at mitigating the economic and social repercussions of the Covid-19 crisis.
During this meeting, chaired by the president of the Chamber of Councilors, Hakim Benchamach, the office also approved, according to the same source, the agenda for the oral questioning session scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.
In terms of legislation, the office of the legislative institution has decided to hold a plenary session tomorrow, Tuesday, immediately after the oral questioning session, to study and vote on Bill No. 12.18 amending and supplementing the Penal Code and the Law No. 43.05 relating to the fight against money laundering, after having been unanimously approved by the Justice, Legislation and Human Rights Commission after its amendment at its meeting on Thursday, May 6, 2021.
In addition, the Bureau of the Second Chamber took note of the presentation by one of its members of a bill aimed at supplementing Article 277 of Law No. 65.99 relating to the Labor Code, as well as of content of a correspondence from the Minister of State in charge of Human Rights and Relations with Parliament concerning the government’s position with regard to a bill drafted by certain members of the Chamber of Councilors, amending and supplementing Article 304 of Law No. 39.08 relating to the Code of Real Rights.
