The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) is mobilized to support companies and employees in order to overcome the current crisis with a minimum of damage, affirmed, Saturday on the occasion of the Labor Day, the president of the Patronage, Chakib Alj.
“On this occasion, I would like to reiterate the mobilization of the CGEM to support companies and employees to overcome the current crisis with a minimum of damage, while ensuring the improvement of their situations for the good of our country”, said Chakib Alj. Celebrated every May 1, Labor Day comes this year in a special context, he noted, specifying that on the one hand, it coincides with the start of the royal project relating to the generalization of social protection and on the other hand, with the launch of the electoral process for employee representatives.
Chakib Alj also recalled the importance of tripartite social dialogue as an essential lever for dealing, in consultation, with subjects linked to the economic and social situation in favor of a peaceful social climate and confidence building. The election of employee representatives will take place from June 10 to 20, 2021, as indicated by a decree of the Minister of Labor and Professional Integration, published on April 6 in the Official Bulletin (BO). These elections are crucial for the determination of union representation, with the consultative and representative rights which result from it, the attributions granted to employee representatives and to the most representative union organizations.
