CDG organizes a seminar dedicated to internal control professions

CDG organized, this Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the Marriott Rabat, an international seminar on internal control functions (ICF) as value creation levers for Long-Term Investors.

Organized in collaboration with the Long-Term Investors Club (D20 LTIC), this seminar is part of the 7th edition of the CDG International Program for Africa. A working group on control professions has been set up for this purpose, within the Club D20 LTIC on the initiative of CDG and with the sponsorship of the EIB.

This seminar aims, through the organization of workshops and thematic debates, to develop knowledge, promote good practices and promote exchange and benchmarking between the heads of internal control functions of financial institutions members of the D20 LTIC. .

The seminar program was structured around four main themes relating to the challenges and positioning of the control professions, the responsibility for control between the “Process Owners” and the CFIs, the CFIs as actors/advisors in the planning process strategy, and the contribution of CFIs in the management of information systems security.
Various experts representing a dozen countries from three continents “Africa, Asia and Europe” took part in this event chaired by Mohamed Sulaimani, Deputy General Manager of CDG.

Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Mouna Dakka, General Inspector of the CDG Group, representing General Management, highlighted the role of control functions in the creation of wealth for development financial institutions. This event, which was an opportunity to present and share best practices in the field of internal control among Club members, sparked lively debates and created the framework to sustain exchanges between experts from internal control of the D20 LTIC and their counterparts of the Forum des Caisses de Dépôt Africaines.
