As part of the reform of the national health system, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Ait Taleb launched, this Thursday, the services of the Bin El Ouidane Health Center in Casablanca Anfa
In accordance with the high royal instructions on the reform and rehabilitation of the health sector, and within the framework of the strengthening of the healthcare offer aimed at supporting the implementation of the royal social protection project, Ait Taleb officially launched the services of the Bin El Ouidane Health Center in the city of Casablanca, in the presence of the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, the Governor of the Arrondissements of Casablanca-Anfa, the Governor Director of the Urban Agency of Casablanca, and representatives of local authorities as well as MPs and civil society actors, the press release said.
According to the note, the ” center is rebuilt on an area of 2465 m², with an overall budget envelope of 23,680,000 Dirhams“, as part of a partnership between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Wilaya of the region of Casablanca – Settat, the Prefecture of the Arrondissements of Casablanca – Anfa and the Urban Agency of Casablanca.
It should be noted that this health establishment has a diagnostic center for tuberculosis and respiratory diseases located on the ground floor, two floors reserved for the health center, part of which is on 1er floor which is dedicated to the palliative care and pain treatment unit, the 3th floor being reserved for the health of young people and adolescents. It should be noted that the center is equipped with modern high-quality medical, biomedical and logistical devices“, specifies the same source.
The statement states that the ministry has mobilized qualified human resources, including three medical specialists, 7 general practitioners, 2 dentists, eight nurses, two health technicians and three nursing assistants to ensure the proper functioning of the services of the center.
” The center will thus guarantee a wide range of health services for the benefit of a population of more than 400,000 people.“, adds the ministry. Thus, these services include “ general and specialized medical consultations, screening, diagnosis and treatment of patients with tuberculosis and respiratory diseases, monitoring of the health of mothers and children, monitoring of chronic diseases, namely diabetes and high blood pressure“, he announces.
Added in particular ” nursing care, oral care, palliative care for people with serious, progressive and terminal illness, monitoring the health of young people and adolescents, including school health“.
The center will also contribute to promoting the health of young people by offering them accessible and adapted services in terms of listening, advice and social support, in addition to health awareness and education services.
