The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened slightly higher on Thursday, its main index, the Masi, gaining 0.05% to 13,177.1 points (pts).
The MSI 20, an index comprising the 20 most liquid stocks, rose 0.04% to 1,072.78 pts, and the Madex, a compact index made up of stocks quoted on a continuous basis, rose 0.06% to 10,665.77 pts.
The Casablanca ESG 10, a thematic index that calculates the price performance of socially responsible companies, fell 0.18% to 986.48 pts.
At individual values, Stokvis North Africa (+ 4.34% to 18.99 dirhams (DH)), Colorado (+ 3.26% to 62.99 DH) and Ciments du Maroc (+ 3% to 1.854 DH) recorded the biggest increases in the morning. Masi’s red lantern, Douja Prom Addoha dropped 2.8% to 10.4 DH, while BCP and Res Dar Saada respectively yielded 1.39% to 276.1 DH and 1.04% to 29.37 DH.
The day before, the Masi closed with a gain of 0.65%.
