The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed Monday’s session up, its main index, the Masi, taking 0.32% to 11,617.16 points.
The Morocco Stock Index 20 (MSI20) finished with a gain of 0.44% to 948.29 points, and the Madex, a compact index made up of stocks quoted on the continuous basis gained 0.33% to 9,440.24 points.
Regarding international indices, the FTSE CSE Morocco 15 rose 0.28% to 10,609.36 points and the FTSE Morocco All-Liquid rose 0.1% to 9,903.73 points. The benchmark Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) “Casablanca ESG 10” index recorded an increase of 0.35% to 886.14 points.
At the end of this day, 12 sectors of the 24 represented on the Casablanca coast finished in the green, against 5 up, while the remaining seven showed no variation.
The index of “Holding companies-Holdings” offered the best performance of the day (2.18%), under the effect of Delta Holding (+ 2.19%). Carried by its only stock, Taqa Morocco (+ 2.09%), the Electricity sector posted the second largest increase of the day, followed by that of “Leisure and Hotels” (+ 1.37%) and of “Real estate participation and promotion” (+ 0.83%).
Also on the rise, the Agri-food / production sector gained 0.45%, the rise of Cosumar (+ 0.78%) having offset the decline of Dari Couspate (-1.98%) and Lesieur Cristal (- 0.41%).
On the banks side (+ 0.3%), with the exception of Attijariwafa Bank (+ 1.18%) and Bank Of Africa (+ 0%), the other four stocks looked gray. Thus, CDM yielded 3.62%, CIH dropped 2.64%, BCP 0.59% and BMCI 0.56%.
As for the losers, the “Utilities” sector fell by 1.83%, that of Transport by 1.64% and Chemicals by 0.51%. Low, the overall volume of securities trading amounted to only 22.4 million dirhams (MDH), carried out entirely on the Central (Equities) market. By values, Label Vie drained 4.06 MDH, Cosumar 3.86 MDH, LafargeHolcim Maroc 2.51 MDH and Itissalat Al-Maghrib 1.38 MDH. Market capitalization stood at nearly 601.8 billion dirhams (MMDH).
The largest increases were made by Douja Prom Addoha (+ 2.33% to 6.6 DH), Delta Holding (+ 2.19% to 34 DH), Taqa Morocco (+ 2.09% to 965 DH), Risma (+ 1.37% at 100 DH) and Attijariwafa Bank (+ 1.18% at 430 DH).
The largest decreases were recorded by Involys (-3.92% to 104.2 DH), CDM (-3.62% to 450.1 DH), Alliances (-3.23% to 30 DH), CIH ( -2.64% at 258 DH) and Colorado (-2.54% at 56 DH).
