The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed the week from April 18 to 22, 2022 on the rise, its main index, the Masi, gaining 1.31% to 13,169.67 points.
The Morocco Stock Index 20 (MSI20), which reflects the price performance of the 20 most liquid companies, gained 1.32% to 1,068.06 points and the Casablanca ESG 10, the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) benchmark index. , improved by 1.11% to 989.76 points.
At the end of this week, 17 sector indices closed on a positive note, against 6 in negative territory. The Electricity index (+7.78%) recorded the best weekly performance, ahead of mines (+7.57%) and the “distributors” sector (+3.51%).
On the other hand, the “Engineering and industrial capital goods” sector showed the strongest decline (-2.85%), followed by “Finance companies and other financial activities” (-1.76%) and of “Real Estate Participation and Development” (-1.21%).
The overall volume amounted to more than 408 million dirhams (MDH). On the podium of the most active stocks are Sodep-Marsa Maroc with a transactional volume of 45.49 MDH, Sonasid (41.79 MDH) and Itissalat Al-Maghrib (37.26 MDH).
Market capitalization exceeded 686 billion dirhams (MMDH).
In terms of values, the best performances were the work of Timar (+11.10% to 145.05 DH), Sonasid (+8.67% to 773 DH), Minière Touissit (+8.40% to 1,845 DH) , Taqa Morocco (+7.78% to 1,067 DH) and Managem (+7.58% to 2,045 DH).
On the other hand, Stroc Industrie (-5.28% to 43.60 DH), Stokvis Nord Afrique (-4.31% to 14.84 DH), M2M Group (-3.99% to 845), SM Monétique (- 3.96% to 197 DH) and Eqdom (-3.92% to 1,300 DH) showed the biggest drops of the week.
