The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed the week from May 4 to 6, 2022 down, its main index, the Masi, having dropped 0.65% to 13,051.01 points.
The Morocco Stock Index 20 (MSI20), which reflects the price performance of the 20 most liquid companies, lost 0.61% to 1,057.99 points and the Casablanca ESG 10, the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) benchmark index. , fell 0.92% to 979.68 points.
At the end of this shortened week, 14 sector indices closed on a negative note, against 9 in positive territory.
The electricity index (-2.18%) posted the largest decline, followed by that of real estate investment companies (-1.95%).
On the upside, the “Mining” sector index (+1.91%) recorded the best weekly performance, ahead of the “Forestry and paper” index (+1.90%). The overall volume amounted to more than 305.60 million dirhams (MDH). On the podium of the most active stocks are Label Vie with a transactional volume of 48.67 MDH, Sodep-Marsa Maroc (47.46 MDH) and Sonasid (46.80 MDH).
Market capitalization exceeded 680.42 billion dirhams (MMDH).
On the value side, the biggest drops of the week were recorded by BMCI (-11.62%), Autonejma (-4.66%) and Mechanical Achievements (-3.99%).
On the other hand, the best performances were the work of CDM (+3.27%), SMI (+2.69% at 175 DH) and Touissit Mining (+1.95%).
