The Casablanca slaughterhouses have just obtained IS0 22000v2018 and ISO 9001v2015 certifications for the fifth time, thus confirming a firm desire to produce sustainably while respecting strict quality and hygiene standards.
A press release from Casablanca Prestations specifies that thanks to a quality approach, the Abattoirs de Casablanca are the only public economic establishment at the national level to be ISO 22000 v2018 and ISO 9001 v2015 certified.
This double certification testifies to the quality dynamic initiated by Casablanca Prestations, the local development company managing the establishment, through the implementation of an Integrated Quality Management System in place since 2015.
In addition to the continuous improvement of the overall performance of the Casablanca slaughterhouses, oriented towards customer satisfaction and stakeholder requirements, this new consecration confirms the perpetual strengthening of the hygiene and quality system, explains the same source, noting that the renewal ISO 22000 v2018 and ISO 9001 v2015 certificates concern all areas of activity of the Slaughterhouses, namely slaughtering and cutting.
According to the press release, the cutting room of the Abattoirs de Casablanca provides professionals with quality equipment that meets the most irreproachable hygiene standards.
From slaughter to delivery, the Casablanca Abattoirs deploy a quality process that meets the most optimal requirements and standards, says Casablanca Prestations, which notes that the meat from its approved and certified slaughterhouses bears an approval number of the National Food Safety Office (ONSSA).

The Casablanca slaughterhouses have been carrying out a Halal-labelled activity since May 2021 and have a housing capacity of 900 cattle and 5,000 sheep and a cattle/sheep slaughter capacity of around 45,000 tons annually. They are equipped with 2 cattle slaughter lines with a capacity of 50 heads/hour and two sheep slaughter lines with a capacity of 300 heads/hour.
The cutting room is equipped, approved and certified ISO 22000 v2018 and ISO 9001 v2015 and the meat storage rooms have a capacity of 1,400 cattle and 5,000 sheep.
