Casablanca-Settat region most affected this Thursday

Morocco has recorded 266 new cases carrying the coronavirus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases recorded nationally since the start of the epidemic to 1,262,082.

Currently, the total active cases rise to 2,936, among them, 71 cases are in serious condition. Second region in the ranking, the region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with a total of 53 infections including 15 in the capital. The Fez-Meknes region comes next with 31 cases including 10 in Fez and it is followed by the Oriental with a total of 30 cases, 14 of which are located in Berkane.

For its part, the Souss-Massa region has 25 cases, including 15 in Agadir-Ida -Ou-Tanane. The Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region recorded 21 cases, including 11 in Tetouan. Follows, Marrakech-Safi with 14 infections of which 12 are in Marrakech, 11 in Draâ-Tafilalet including eight in Ouarzazate. The Beni-Mellal-Khénifra region comes next with 8 cases including 3 in Khénifra, the Laâyoune -Sakia El Hamra region recorded 6 cases all in Laâyoune, 2 in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region 1 in Sidi Ifni and 1 in Guelmim and finally 1 in Dakhla case in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region.
