Huawei Morocco launched, this Thursday, October 07 in Casablanca, the 6th edition of the “Huawei ICT Competition”, an international competition which aims to promote certification in the information and communication technologies (ICT) sector and encouragement of new talent.
Much awaited by students in technological and scientific fields, who aspire to embellish their skills with soft skills, the “Huawei ICT Competition”, was launched Thursday in Casablanca at the headquarters of the National School of Arts and Crafts (ENSAM) of Casablanca.
This “Huawei ICT Competition” program presents students and young graduates with a golden opportunity to shape their skills through soft skills in the fields of Big Data, 5G, Routing & Communication, Cloud Computing and artificial intelligence. At the same time, “Huawei ICT Competition” enables young people to enter the labor market.
Speaking on this occasion, the representative of Huawei Morocco, Yang Min, assured that “Huawei has always been aware that the responsibility for the training of talents” and that it is “a very long road”.

Yang Min said that Huamei “as a technology-oriented company, has never stopped developing talents,” stressing in this wake that “Huawei, with 30 years of experience in the field of technology training and in communication, has set up more than 150 centers around the world for the benefit of more than 4 million students ”.
“Since 2018, under the leadership and with the support of the Moroccan Ministry of National Education, Huawei has also established the School-Industry cooperation project entitled Huawei ICT Academy with more than 54 schools and universities in Morocco”, he added. she called back. And to affirm that “as part of this program more than 4,500 students are trained and 1,350 of them are certified in revolutionary technologies such as Cloud Computing, Big Data, 5G, Routing & Communication and artificial intelligence “.

Each year, inviting universities around the world to participate in the event, Huawei has joined forces with ENSAM in Casablanca this year.
The Director of ENSAM Casablanca, Ahmed Mouchtachi, declared that “the realization of this action is the culmination of a fruitful relationship of trust and sharing between Huawei and our establishment”.

In this sense, he considered that “this meeting demonstrates the firm commitment of Ensam to make technologies an axis of development and ensure the training of young people so that they can support development and technological change in our country” .
Note that this competition is divided into a preliminary selection and a national competition. All participating countries will complete the national competition and the winners will represent Morocco in the North Africa Region competition. The teams will then travel to China as representatives of the North Africa Region to participate in the world final.
Students will also have the opportunity to do an internship and thus be employees within the Huawei group with the possibility of applying for study opportunities in the largest Chinese universities and, possibly, receiving scholarships after the selections.
