The National Judicial Police Brigade (BNPJ) seized on Friday, on the basis of precise information provided by the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, 8,800 psychotropic tablets from a man and a woman suspected of drug trafficking and psychotropic drugs.
The main defendant was arrested with his companion at a Casablanca train station as soon as they arrived from Tangier, said a press release from the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN), specifying that they were arrested. in flagrante delicto of possession of a suitcase containing 8,800 psychotropic tablets intended for trafficking and a sum of money suspected of being the booty of this criminal activity.
The two suspects were placed in police custody at the disposal of the investigation carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, with a view to arresting all the participants in these criminal activities and to elucidate the circumstances of this case. ‘part of the sustained safety efforts carried out in the fight against illegal trafficking in psychotropic tablets, concluded the DGSN.
