The cities of Casablanca and Marrakech recorded the highest number of new cases, this Sunday, April 4.
The Hespress monitoring and monitoring platform, covid.hespress.com/en, details as well that Morocco now has 498,197 confirmed cases, 8,850 deaths (i.e. a mortality rate of 1.78%), 484,921 healings, a total of 5,521,700 tests (an increase of 7,404), and 4,426 ongoing cases treatment, including 435 in serious condition (18 under intubation). In addition, 4,348,995 people have received a first dose of the vaccine since the launch of the campaign while 3,891,875 are on the second dose, the health ministry said.
The most affected region is that of Casablanca-Settat which has 204 new cases including 166 in Casablanca, 14 in Nouaceur, 12 in Mohammadia, 10 in Médiouna and 2 in El Jadida.
The 2nd most affected region is that of Marrakech-Safi which records 56 new contaminations including 42 in Marrakech, 4 in Rehmana, 3 in El Kelaâ des Sraghna, 3 in Safi, 2 in Chichaoua, 1 in Youssoufia and 1 in Essaouira.
Marrakech-Safi is followed by that of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra which identifies 29 new cases including 8 in Skhirate-Témara, 7 in Salé, 5 in Rabat, 5 in Sidi Kacem, 3 in Kénitra and 1 in Sidi Slimane.
4th region most affected by new cases is that of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab with 21 new contaminations in Oued Ed-Dahab.
For its part, Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra notes 18 new contaminations including 17 in Laâyoune and 1 in Boujdour while that of Souss-Massa has 11 in Agadir (10) and Inezgane (1).
8 new contaminations were observed in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima including 5 in Tanger-Assilah, 1 in Chefchaouen and 2 in Tétouan, i.e. one more in the Oriental (4 in Oujda-Angad, 1 in Nador, 1 in Jerada and 1 in Figuig).
Fès-Meknes takes stock of 5 new cases in Fez. 4 cases are identified in Guelmim Oued Noun, particularly in Guelmim.
The last region to register new cases is that of Beni Mellal-Khénifra in Béni Mellal and Fquih Ben Salah.
