The Cameroonian football team has validated its ticket for the round of 16 of the African Cup of Nations (CAN-2021), after dominating its Ethiopian counterpart with a score of 4 goals to 1, Thursday at the Paul Biya stadium in Yaoundé, on behalf of the 2nd day of group A.
Ethiopia opened the scoring in the 4th minute through Dawa Hotessa, before Karl Toko Ekambi replied in the 8th minute with the equalizer for Cameroon. His teammate Vincent Aboubakar gave the advantage to the host country thanks to a double (53 rd and 55 th ).
Karl Toko Ekambi returned to the charge to seal the match’s fate with a second goal (67′).
During the 1st day, Cameroon, host country, got the better of Burkina Faso by 2 goals to 1.
On behalf of the same group, Cape Verde will cross swords with Burkina Faso in the evening.
