The Malawian football team beat its Zimbabwean counterpart 2-1 on Friday at the Kouekong stadium in Bafoussam, in a match counting for the 2nd day of group B of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) football , held in Cameroon.
Ismael Wadi opened the scoring for Zimbabwe in the 38th minute before Gabadinho Mhango equalized for Malawi (43′). Mhango came back to the charge in the 58th minute to give his team the advantage.
Earlier, Senegal and Guinea left with a white draw (0-0) in a match counting for the same group.
