The Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has decided to support the Morocco-Spain-Portugal tripartite bid for the organization of the 2030 World Cup.
Meeting on Wednesday afternoon under the chairmanship of Patrice Motsepe, via videoconference, the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) unanimously decided to support the candidacy of Morocco, Spain and Portugal for the organization of the World Cup.
The Executive Committee also discussed issues related in particular to the preparations for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023.
The meeting also discussed the progress of the candidacy process for the organization of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations 2025 where Morocco is in the running, and the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations 2027.
The 2023 Women’s Champions League and the 2024 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship were also mentioned.
