Oussama Idrissi could breathe new life into his career. Placardized by Sevilla FC, the Moroccan international is of interest to Cadiz, which is currently negotiating for his transfer.
Istanbul Basaksehir were also interested in securing the player’s services. However, the winger wants a destination where he can regain his footballing best.
In Cádiz, he wouldn’t have much competition in his position, where Alberto Perea or, occasionally, Santiago Arzamendia usually play. The hours pass and the Cadiz club rushes to the market to bring the team closer to the goal of permanence.
The Atlas Lion has hardly any minutes in Sevilla, where the competition is very tough, which led to him staying on as a substitute. He only participated in five league matches, where he had two starts. In total, he only added 125 minutes. Moreover, in the Copa del Rey he played two games.
With these low numbers, Oussama Idrissi is now looking for an exit door that allows him to continue adding minutes and training in La Liga Santander before returning to the Sevilla side.
Cadiz seems the ideal outlet for him. The yellow team must integrate a left-handed winger, a task that has been pending for several seasons. Its incorporation could be announced in the coming days.
Idrissi arrived at Sevilla FC in the summer of 2020. The former AZ player landed in the Spanish capital in the final days of the transfer window, but a muscle injury prevented him from starting before the end of November.
His loan spell at Ajax in the second half of last season also fell through. Sevilla FC failed to find a way out for him in the last transfer market and he ultimately stayed.
