On the sidelines of the 27th edition of the International Publishing and Book Fair (SIEL), the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, met with the Austrian Federal Deputy Minister for European and International Affairs, in charge of culture, Theresa Endgen, and the Senegalese Minister of Culture and Communication, Abdoulaye Diop.
During this meeting on Friday in Rabat at the end of SIEL, talks between Minister Mehdi Bensaid and his Austrian counterpart focused on the strengthening of bilateral relations between Rabat and Vienna, in the fields of culture, the exchange of experiences between the two parties, and the strengthening of cooperation and common action.
The two government officials thus agreed to exchange visits between the officials of the two ministries with a view to setting up a joint cultural program between Morocco and Austria.
Still on the sidelines of SIEL, Mehdi Bensaid also spoke with Abdoulaye Diop, Senegalese Minister of Culture and Communication, who is on a working visit to Morocco, accompanied by a large delegation taking part in the International Book Fair.
During this meeting, the two ministers discussed means of strengthening cooperation between Morocco and Senegal in the fields of culture and communication, the exchange of experiences, particularly in the field of cultural training. , and the availability of Moroccan television and film productions to the Senegalese public.
The two ministers also highlighted the depth of the solid relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Senegal, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI and President Macky Sall.
Subsequently, Mehdi Bensaid and his Senegalese counterpart walked the halls of the exhibition and participated in a symposium on books and culture in the presence of several publishers, women and men from the media.
