The examination of issues relating to private education was at the center of a meeting organized, Wednesday in Rabat, between the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa and the representative bodies of the private education.
In a statement to the press at the end of this meeting, Benmoussa stressed that this meeting with the private education sector was an opportunity to discuss the results of the thematic committee and the results of the academic year as well as preparing for the next school year.
This meeting also made it possible to shed light on the development of a contract associating educational establishments with families, he noted, noting that the final version is being developed.
Bill No. 59.21 relating to school education is also on the agenda of this meeting, he said, highlighting the common desire to work together for the upgrading of this sector.
For his part, the president of the league of private education in Morocco, Mohamed El Honsali, indicated that this meeting, which is part of the participatory approach adopted by the ministry, made it possible to examine the constraints and the challenges faced by the sector and to address several issues, including, in particular, bill n°59.21 relating to school education and linguistic alternation.
The thematic committee will deal with a series of issues and will meet periodically to examine a certain number of files relating to the daily management of the establishments, as well as the projects proposed by the ministry, he said.
Private education is an integral part of the Moroccan school and constitutes an essential component, he insisted, adding that the ultimate goal is to upgrade the school and improve learning.
