Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo has urged the EU to consider banning “extremist” Israelis advocating for violence against Palestinians from entering Europe.
De Croo pointed at Israeli violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, and criticized the lack of action against such extremism.
“Our country must ensure that those who commit serious crimes, for example, those who commit violence in the West Bank, can be prevented from entering our country and the European Union,” De Croo told the Belgian parliament.
He proposed potential sanctions on individuals, including ministers endorsing the use of nuclear weapons against a vulnerable population living in dire conditions.
