In partnership with Qatar Charity, beIN SPORTS, the leading broadcaster in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), launched on Tuesday 19 a week-long donation drive to provide humanitarian emergency relief efforts to the quake-affected victims in Morocco as well as flood-affected victims in Libya.
BeIN SPORTS MENA promised to dedicate its influence and reach to all its platforms, including TV and digital channels, for collecting contributions to provide emergency assistance to those who were devastated by the destructive natural disasters that occurred recently in Morocco and Libya.
Mohammed Abdulaziz Al-Subaie, CEO of beIN-MENA, voiced his feelings about the news, and said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the beloved people of Morocco and Libya. Both tragedies hit close to home as many of our staff, their families, and viewers were affected.”
Al-Subaie stressed, “In times like these, it is our moral duty to stand together and extend our support to those suffering. Our partnership with Qatar Charity aligns with beIN’s core values and underscores our belief in making a positive impact on the world beyond our daily operations.”
Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo, CEO’s assistant for the Resources Development and Media Sector at Qatar Charity, also expressed his solidarity with people affected by the natural disasters both in Morocco and Libya and announced, “We have launched two humanitarian campaigns, in collaboration with numerous private and governmental organizations and media outlets, to support the citizens in both countries who have been tragically affected by these natural disasters.”
“We are proud to be collaborating with beIN SPORTS, who have significant reach in the MENA region,” he added.
In this regard, a QR code will be shown on all beIN SPORTS Arabic and English channels that will automatically direct donors to the campaign page on the website of Qatar Charity.
Over 30 BeIN SPORTS’ presenters, and commentators, in addition to Europe’s top leagues’ football players, participate in this humanitarian campaign.
