The Banque Centrale Populaire Group (BCP) processed and validated nearly 12,000 Damane Oxygene loan applications for an authorized amount of 2.6 billion dirhams (MMDH) in 2020.
In line with its values, the BCP Group has provided massive support to the company in Morocco, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises, severely weakened by the Covid crisis, the group said in a press release on its annual results for 2020.
Beyond the postponement of loan maturities granted to companies and individuals affected by the crisis, the BCP Group quickly deployed loans guaranteed by the State, thanks in particular to the exceptional mobilization of its teams, adds the same source.
The Group has also validated more than 10,000 “Damane Relance” loan requests, corresponding to an envelope of MAD 6.3 billion. “These loans have mostly benefited small businesses and helped to preserve activity and jobs in a context of unprecedented crisis”.
