BAM’s weekly indicators in 4 key points

Here are the four key points of the weekly indicators of Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) for the period from 02 to 08 September 2021:

– The dirham has remained almost stable against the euro and the US dollar.

– As of September 3, 2021, the outstanding official reserve assets of BAM stood at 312.4 billion dirhams (billion dirhams), virtually stagnant from one week to the next and up 5.3 % year-on-year.

– BAM interventions amount to MAD 94.4 billion, of which MAD 35.9 billion in the form of 7-day advances on call for tenders, MAD 30.9 billion in the form of repo transactions, MAD 26.7 billion in the framework of support programs for the financing of the TPME and 1 billion dirhams for foreign exchange swap operations.

– On the interbank market, the average daily volume of exchanges was established at MAD 4 billion and the interbank rate stood at 1.50% on average.
