Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) indicated that outstanding bank credit reached 1,024.1 billion dirhams (MMDH) at the end of November 2022, an annual increase of 5.9%.
In its “bank credit-deposit” dashboard for November 2022, BAM notes that the outstanding amount of bank credit to non-financial agents amounted to 898.3 billion dirhams (+6.1%) and that to agents financial at 125.8 billion dirhams (+4.9%).
The annual increase of 9.3% to 439.7 billion dirhams in loans to private non-financial enterprises (NFEs) essentially reflects the 13.9% increase in cash facilities and the 3.1% increase in loans to equipment. On the other hand, home loans fell by 3.3% to 50.2 billion dirhams.
In addition, BAM reports that assistance to households recorded an annual increase of 3.8%, covering increases of 2.9% in housing loans and 3.7% in consumer loans.
Crowdfunding for housing, in particular in the form of real estate Murabaha, continued to grow, reaching 18.7 billion dirhams, after 15.5 billion dirhams a year earlier.
