Atlas Lions starting XI

Walid Regragui had announced it in a press conference: The match against South Africa, this Saturday at the Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg, will be an opportunity to try out a few names. And it’s done!

The starting national selection has some changes from the eleven type. Note the presence of Youssef Maleh, and the tenure of Oussama Idrissi, Zakaria Aboukhlal and Munir Mohammedi.

Note also the absence of Sofyan Amrabat (who is not on the trip), and that of Soufiane Boufal.

For the rest, the executives are there like Captain Romain Saïss, Achraf Hakimi, Hakim Ziyech, Nayef Aguerd or Youssef En-Nesyri.

This meeting without real stake, the two selections having already qualified, counts for the 5th day of the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023.

Goalkeeper: Munir Mohammedi

Defenders: Achraf Hakimi, Noussair Mazraoui, Nayef Aguerd and Romain Saïss (captain).

Midfielders: Youssef Maleh, Hakim Ziyech, Zakaria Aboukhlal, Imran Louza and Oussama Idrissi.

Forward: Youssef En-Nesyri.
