With this goalless draw, coach Fernando Da Cruz’s men, who will host their opponents for the return leg on November 9 in Rabat, have every chance of qualifying for the group stage.
AS FAR qualified in this round after beating the Guinean team of Ashanti Golden Boys (4-0) in the first leg and (0-1) in the second leg.
Renaissance Sportive de Berkane (RSB), Morocco’s second representative in this competition and defending champion, faces the Tunisian club Union Sportive de Monastir on Wednesday at the Mustapha Ben Jannet stadium. The return match is also scheduled for Berkane on November 09.
