Arab League’s extraordinary FM Council begins in Cairo, presided by Morocco

Works of the extraordinary Arab League Council’s FM headed by Morocco has begun today, Wednesday, to discuss ways of political action at the Arab and international levels to stop the escalation in the Palestinian territories, and the targeting of civilians.

This meeting, chaired by the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita, comes at the request of Palestine as well as the Kingdom of Morocco, which holds the presidency of the current session of the Arab League Council and which, upon instructions from King Mohammed VI, called for this meeting to be held.

The Moroccan delegation participating in the meeting also includes the Moroccan ambassador to Cairo and its permanent representative to the Arab League, Ahmed Al-Tazi, and the director of the Levant, the Gulf, and Arab and Islamic organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans residing abroad, Fouad Akhrif.

The Arab ministerial meeting will discuss political action at the Arab and international levels, stopping the deterioration of the situation in the Gaza Strip, and stopping the dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.
