The Moroccan national team has qualified for the semi-finals of the 2023 Arab Beach Soccer Championship, which is currently taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The Moroccans beat the Libyan team in the quarter-finals by 5 goals to 2.
Anwar Frindi (double), Reda Zahrawi and Badr Al-Freishli (double) scored for Morocco, while goals for the Libyan side came from Ahmed Mohamed and Ahmed Al-Rafii.
The Palestinian national team also qualified for the same round after defeating the Saudi team 5-3, as did the Egyptian team which beat their Mauritanian counterpart 8-3 and the Oman team which defeated the United Arab Emirates team 5-4.
The Moroccan national team will face its counterpart from Oman this Friday in the semi-finals, while the Egyptian team will meet its Palestinian counterpart.
The final match will take place tomorrow, Saturday, to decide the identity of the champion of this Cup.
