AMITH unveils its 2022-25 roadmap

On the occasion of its general assembly (GA), held on Wednesday in Casablanca, the Moroccan Association of Textile and Clothing Industries (AMITH) presented the main lines of its 2022-2025 roadmap.

Led by the binomial Anass El Ansari, president, and Omar Sajid, vice-president, many were the highlights that punctuated the meeting of the Association, supports the association noting that this AG was an opportunity for the president of the AMITH to unveil the main axes of the roadmap for the 2022-2025 mandate.

In a press release, AMITH makes it known that it intends to make it a priority to ” federate all the players in the sector around a common vision which will extend to consolidating its position as a reliable and credible partner, which fully assumes its representative, advisory and support role for the sector“.

Moroccan textiles are going through a historic moment, because we have an ambitious project for our sector. The program presented during this GA is a consecration of the hard work of a group of experts from the Moroccan textile and clothing sector. The country’s major industrialists who have proposed committed members to represent them on the board of directors, members of this program whose objective is the creation of the textiles of tomorrow, taking into account sustainability and job creation“, said the president of AMITH, Anass El Ansari, in the press release.

For his part, the vice-president of the association, Omar Sajid, also quoted in the press release, gave a taste of AMITH’s priorities for the 2022-2025 mandate and which relate to the consolidation of achievements, while by seizing the opportunities offered internationally and on the local market.

It will therefore be necessary to meet the expectations of Moroccan and international consumers, and the requirements of public procurement. AMITH fully aligns with the government’s position regarding national preference for public procurement“, he asserted.

With regard to the strategic plan, the same source specifies that AMITH’s mission is divided into seven axes which make up the 2022-2025 roadmap, namely the transformation of the role of the Association, the support of companies for access to markets, strengthening the competitiveness of the upstream sector and promoting Made in Morocco to win back the local market. Added to this is modernization and industry 4.0, green industry and the integration of the Great South.

Concerning the first axis relating to the transformation of the role of AMITH, the objective revealed by the president of the association El Ansari is the consolidation of institutional relations, the strengthening of the position and the notoriety of AMITH, the he adoption of the regional territorial division and the definition of the roles and perimeters of the regional delegations, explains the press release, stressing that this aims to have more proximity and a better service rendered to the members.
