Alice Albright Leads Prosper Africa’s US Delegation to US-Africa Business Summit

Alice Albright, CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), will lead Prosper Africa’s US delegation to the US-Africa Business Summit, July 19-22. This event is organized by the Corporate Council on Africa and the Kingdom of Morocco and aims to promote trade and investment between African countries and the United States.

The US delegation will include senior government officials and leading US investors representing over $1 trillion in assets. During the forum, the U.S. will showcase Prosper Africa’s private sector-focused approach, which connects dynamic U.S. and African companies looking to do business with each other, and global investors seeking the long-term returns offered by Africa’s fast-growing markets.

The delegation will engage in broad exchanges to catalyze more investment in Africa and promote the new Global Infrastructure and Investment Partnership just launched by President Biden and the G7. The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) has mobilized $1.1 billion in Morocco, and will showcase its brand new $460 million Employability and Land Compact in Morocco; the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) will announce new commitments to advance the development of information and communications technology, clean energy and health infrastructure across the continent ; the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) will highlight the central role of African small and medium enterprises in facilitating the continent’s growth and economic recovery; and Prosper Africa’s Chief Operating Officer will announce new funding opportunities and deal closings.
