
Egyptian club Al Ahly got the better of New Zealand’s Auckland City by 3 goals to 0 (half-time 1-0) on Wednesday night at the Grand Stade de Tangier, opening the World Cup Clubs (Morocco-2022).
The Egyptians won thanks to goals from Hussein Elshahat (45+2nd), Mohamed Sherif (56th) and Percy Tau (86th).
In the second round, Al Ahly will be opposed to the Americans of Seattle Sounders, on February 4 (6:00 p.m.) in Tangier.
