The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch received, this Monday, May 16, the Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Gerd Müller, who is currently on a working visit to Morocco.
This meeting, held in the presence of representatives of the United Nations agency, was an opportunity to discuss the dense and diversified cooperation previously initiated between Morocco and UNIDO, but also to deepen and give a new impetus to the strategic partnership concluded and aimed at enabling Morocco to position itself as a platform for technology transfer and to strengthen its capacities in the industrial field.
The two officials were also able to discuss and identify additional synergies between Morocco and UNIDO, in support of the government’s industrial roadmap and relating to a number of strategic sectors, such as agrifood, e-commerce, Industry 4.0, circular economy, waste management, energy, industrial zones and South-South cooperation.
