Akhannouch reaffirms the commitment of the Executive to clean up the arrears of VAT credits

The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch announced, Thursday in Rabat, the activation of the government’s commitment to clean up the arrears of value added tax (VAT) credits for the benefit of private sector companies.

In a speech at the opening of the Council, Mr. Akhannouch specified that as part of this government commitment, an envelope of 2.5 billion dirhams (MMDH) was mobilized to repay the arrears of VAT credits, a the government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, indicated during a press briefing after the Council.

The head of government added that 1.5 billion dirhams (billion dirhams) will be mobilized next week and 9 billion dirhams before the end of April 2022, in order to allow businesses, mainly small and medium-sized ones, to have significant liquidity, in a context of crisis and thus strengthen their investment and development.
