Faced with heightened tensions between Russia and Ukraine, Air Arabia has launched a repatriation flight for Moroccans residing in Ukraine between Kiev and Tangier.
“Air Arabia will provide a repatriation flight for Moroccans residing in Ukraine between Kiev and Tangier on February 15 at 05:10”wrote the airline on its Twitter account.
Tensions are high between Russia and Ukraine. There is talk of a risk of Russian invasion, after the Kremlin has deployed its army on the borders. For the moment, nothing is sure even if several countries, including Morocco, have called on their nationals to leave the country.

An announcement that follows the recommendations of the Moroccan Embassy in Kiev, which on Saturday called on Moroccans present in Ukraine to leave the country, in order to preserve their security, given the tense situation prevailing there.
“Moroccans in Ukraine can take available commercial flights”adds the diplomatic representation, inviting travelers wishing to go to Ukraine to delay their trip for the moment.
For his part, the American president, Joe Biden, had called on Thursday, February 10, the Americans in Ukraine to return “now” to the United States, warning that the situation could “quickly get carried away”.
Same story with Canada, which also recommended that its citizens leave Ukraine. “Avoid all travel to Ukraine due to current threats from Russia and the risk of armed conflict. If you are in Ukraine, you should leave using the trade options currently available,” Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs said on its website, calling on its nationals to be ready to “take shelter.”
