The Government Council, meeting Thursday in Rabat under the chairmanship of the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, approved a draft decree on the payment of compensation to participants in the preparation and realization of the General Population and Housing Census (RGPH).

The text, presented by the Minister Delegate for the Budget, Fouzi Lekjaa, aims to determine the amounts of daily allowances to be paid to participants in the preparation, organization, monitoring and execution of the RGPH for the year 2024, said government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, during a press briefing after the Council.

It also aims to control the granting, disbursement and execution of these allowances, he added, noting that these allowances will cover all the operations and stages necessary for the realization of the census, from the first stage of cartographic work, which includes the cartographic location of buildings, housing and economic establishments, through the preparation of the provisions of the census and the training of participants, until its realization and the exploitation of its data.
