The Council of Government, meeting Thursday by videoconference under the chairmanship of the head of government Aziz Akhannouch, adopted draft decree 2.22.470 fixing the list of pathologies giving right to medium-term sick leave.
Presented by the Minister Delegate in charge of the Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Ghita Mezzour, this text is part of the implementation of the government strategy aimed at promoting the social protection of human resources in public administrations, as well as the improvement of their social conditions, indicated the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, Government Spokesman, Mustapha Baitas, during a press briefing at the end of the Council.
The draft decree aims to adapt the legal provisions relating to leave for health reasons with the evolution of certain new pathologies whose treatment requires a longer duration and to consolidate the social protection of civil servants suffering from illnesses which do not appear in the list of pathologies giving right to medium-term sick leave, in accordance with decree n° 2-94-279 of 5 safar 1416 (4 July 1995).
The text will make it possible to deal with the difficulties linked to the current legal arsenal, to specify the Arabic translation of certain diseases and to copy the provisions of the aforementioned decree No. 2.94.279.
