The latest Forbes Middle East ranking places the Director General of the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) in 18th position in its Top 100 Tourism and Travel Leaders for the Middle East and North Africa region.
This is the first time that a Moroccan leader has entered the Top 20 in this ranking.
This consecration for Adel El Fakir and for the ONMT teams is additional recognition for the work accomplished in the promotion and marketing of the destination. Morocco has indeed distinguished itself internationally, particularly with the international campaign “Morocco, Land of Light”.
The Office has also excelled in the multiplication of historic agreements with the major airlines and world tour operators as well as in punchy actions with Moroccan tourism professionals, in particular flash actions in the world’s largest capitals, “light tours”, to highlight the Morocco destination and its assets.
Today, the Office does not intend to stop in such a good way. With its “Light In Action 2026” action plan, Adel El Fakir and his Office teams intend to continue to promote the Morocco tourism brand in the world and to raise the country among the best world destinations.
