ADD and Cisco join forces to prepare the digital talents of tomorrow

The Digital Development Agency (ADD) and Cisco signed a partnership agreement on Thursday in Rabat aimed at integrating the content of the Cisco Networking Academy program into one of the initiatives of the national training program “Digital Generation” included in the sheet. route from ADD.

This is a priority project for the Agency which aims to promote digital skills throughout the national territory and to ensure the adequacy of training to meet the needs of actors in the field of new technologies, indicates a joint press release from ADD and Cisco.

This project, which aims to provide Morocco with qualified human resources, aims to improve the employability of Moroccans by training them for the professions of tomorrow as well as the competitiveness of companies by training digital talents and helping employees in the public and private sectors. to perfect their skills to meet the demands of a digital and competitive work environment.

This program also aims to set up and develop a training ecosystem in the digital field, to promote digital culture among Moroccan citizens through training and awareness, to use digital technology as a vector of inclusion. social as well as pooling efforts to ensure long-term training in digital skills.

“The transfer of knowledge in the field of ICT, led by Cisco through the Cisco Networking Academy training program, allows us to support ADD’s strategy in response to the exponential demand for skills generated by the 4th industrial revolution, and this, in particular through the training of digital and advanced technology profiles, ”she said.

Cisco Networking Academy is a social responsibility program, through which Cisco translates its commitment to position Morocco in a perspective of sustainable and perennial development. Today, it has more than 30 training courses on computer networks, programmable infrastructure and cybersecurity. These training courses are given by renowned experts in several languages, including in particular English, French or Arabic.

Since its creation in Morocco in 2001, this program has provided online training in ICT to 92,363 separate students, of which 35% are female. Cisco is therefore not only a pioneer in the investments in technologies necessary for the competitiveness of companies, but also in training, tools and support for the skills essential to the implementation of these technologies.

Cisco developed the Networking Academy program in 1997 and has since formed several partnerships with companies, governments and educational institutions around the world to meet the growing demand for skilled ICT profiles.
