Active cases rise to 10,323 nationwide from 47 severe cases

The increase in active cases under treatment continues in Morocco. This Saturday, June 18, the epidemiological report from the Ministry of Health reports 10,323 active cases (0.87%) under treatment nationwide. Similarly, 11,322 tests were carried out in 24 hours, bringing the national total of tests since the start of the pandemic to 11,790,906.

In addition, Morocco has recorded one (1) death due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours in the city of Marrakech (Marrakech-Safi region), bringing the national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 16,086. The fatality rate therefore stands at 1.36% this Saturday.

Still in its daily epidemiological report, the Ministry of Health reports four (4) new severe cases admitted to intensive care in 24 hours for a national total of 47 critical cases this Saturday. The cases under artificial respiration decreased to 7 cases while no new intubated cases were identified.

In addition, and as indicated by the monitoring and monitoring platform of MoroccoLatestNews, www.moroccolatestnews.com, the Kingdom has identified 1,956 new confirmed Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the national total of proven contaminations to 1,184,732. As for the occupancy rate of resuscitation beds dedicated to Covid-19, it stood at 0.9% this Saturday.

Morocco has also recorded 1,093 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,158,323 remissions. The recovery rate stands at 97.77% this Saturday.

With regard to vaccination, the number of beneficiaries of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign reached 24,847,609, the second dose 23,330,994 while the number of beneficiaries of the D3 reached 6,506,308. , said the Ministry of Health.
