Abderrahim Talib new coach of Difaa El Jadida

Difaa El Jadida (DHJ) announced on Sunday the appointment of Abderrahim Talib as coach of the Botola Pro D1 “Inwi” club, replacing Tunisian coach Lassaad Chabi.

The DHJ and Lassaad Chabi agreed by mutual agreement, Saturday evening, to put an end to the contract binding them. Abderrahim Talib has signed up with the Doukkali club until the end of the season.

During Talib’s presentation ceremony, the president of the DHJ, Abdellatif Mouktarid, affirmed that the difficult conditions that the club is going through, because of its poor performance in Botola, especially during the return phase, prevented the termination of the contract between the club and the Tunisian coach.

For his part, Talib indicated, in a statement to MAP, that he preferred to train the DHJ when he had many offers from Moroccan and foreign clubs, specified the solid ties he has with the club and its former players.

The new coach noted in this sense that he had applied to the destinies of the club doukkali twice, the first marked by the access of the DHJ to the first division, while during the second, the club succeeded in maintaining and qualification for the group stage of the African Champions League.

“I know the potential of the DHJ, most of whose players come from the youth and hopeful categories,” continued Talib, relevant that he looks at the mental aspect and the psychic preparation in order to allow the club to move away from the danger zone.

Abderrahim Talib has trained several Moroccan clubs, such as Moghreb Tetouan, Widad Fès, COD Meknes, Maghreb Fès, Wydad Casablanca, Difaa El Jadida, Renaissance Berkane, Ittihad Tangier, ‘AS FAR, TAS Casablanca and Olympic Safi.

He had also been appointed head of the technical helm of the Qatari clubs Chabab and Chamal, Al Fujairah (United Arab Emirates) and Al Chabab (Saudi Arabia). Difaa El Jadida currently occupies 12th place in the Botola Pro D1 “Inwi” with 22 points.
