The Ministry of Justice announced, this Tuesday, June 6, 2023, that the examination for the granting of a certificate of eligibility to practice the profession of lawyer will be held next Friday.
The ministry has decided, based on a communication from the prime minister based on the recommendation of the kingdom’s mediator, to hold the exam on July 9 in the centers of Rabat, Casablanca, El Jadida, Fez, Marrakech, Safi, Meknes , Agadir, Laayoune, Tangier, Tetouan, Settat, Beni Mellal, Oujda, Nador, Kenitra, Taza, Ouarzazate, Errachidia, Khouribga, Al-Hoceima, Guelmim, and other centers if necessary.
The Ministry of Justice has indicated that two written tests will be organized for the bar exam in the form of multiple-choice questions and answers, and another oral test consisting of several questions.
This sudden announcement from the Ministry of Justice comes after Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch received a special report from the head of the Kingdom’s Mediators Foundation regarding the discussion on the examination for eligibility to practice the profession of lawyer, which included proposals and recommendations that formed the summary of the mediation that this institution conducted in this case.
After receiving the report, the head of government decided to “deal positively with the recommendations and proposals made by the mediator of the kingdom, in perfect harmony with the attention that the government gives to the various complaints from public administrations received through the mediator”.
