A strike by cafetiers and restaurateurs in Morocco is looming. The ANPCRM, the National Association of Coffee and Restaurant Bosses in Morocco is planning a national strike on Friday April 9.
During a meeting held online on March 31 by the national council of the ANPCRM, the Association invited professionals in the sector to start a 24-hour national strike on Friday, April 9, “In response to the contempt of the government and the National Vigilance Committee for all warnings from the National Office”, wrote the Association in a press release signed by its president Noureddine Haraq.
This declaration intervenes “After the national office has exhausted all attempts to open with the government and the vigilance committee a dialogue window to seek ways to stop the bleeding from bankruptcy that has hit the sector, a number of its units that did not resist the decisions of the government and national vigilance ”.
On behalf of restaurateurs and cafetiers, the association also manifests “Their total dissatisfaction with the government’s lack of availability for any vision or plan to stop the bleeding from bankruptcy that has hit the sector, and its refusal to correct the imbalances it defines in the legal arsenal to which the sector is submitted “.
