The occupancy rate of intensive care beds was 2.8% this Sunday, July 10. In just 24 hours, 9 new severe cases were admitted to intensive care, bringing the national total to 150 critical cases. The cases under artificial respiration are 41 nationwide, and 1 other cases are under intubation, the Ministry of Health said in its daily epidemiological report.
The number of new tests carried out in 24 hours reached 7,347 for a national total of 12,049,289 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. In addition, Morocco has recorded in the last 24 hours, 5 deaths due to Covid-19.
These deaths were recorded in the regions of Draâ-Tafilalet (02), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (01), Souss-Massa (01) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (01), the ministry said in its daily bulletin on the epidemiological situation, announcing a total of 16,156 cases of death. The fatality rate is 1.3%.
Morocco has also recorded 3,073 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,205,017 remissions. The recovery rate stands at 96.9% this Sunday, while the total number of active cases stands at 20,794 cases (1.88%).
The Ministry of Health thus invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
