The National Agency for Land Conservation, Cadastre and Cartography (ANCFCC) recorded total revenues of 8.03 billion dirhams during the year 2022.
A significant portion of this revenue, around 500 billion centimes (4.922 billion dirhams), went directly to the state budget through land conservation rights.
According to a report recently published by the ANCFCC, the previous year was marked by the establishment of 430,258 property deeds, of which 91% were carried out in rural areas within the framework of free collective conservation.
Thus, the total area of land registered in 2022 amounted to 667,084 hectares, and the number of land titles issued during the same year reached 825,330.
Land preservation in Morocco has been growing steadily for the past two decades, rising from 2.6 million hectares in 2002 to 4.5 million hectares in 2015, reaching approximately 9.2 million hectares preserved in 2022. according to the same data.
Similarly, the number of land conservation deeds has also increased significantly by 42%, from 308,590 in 2015 to 438,258 in 2022.
During the period from 2016 to 2022, the total number of property deeds established amounts to 2,618,000 million, an increase of 36% compared to all land conservation deeds in Morocco.
The land conservation process in rural areas has also undergone a remarkable evolution, with a 423% increase in the number of land conservation deeds and the number of deeds within the framework of collective conservation over the last seventeen years. years.
As for the number of land conservation deeds in rural areas, it increased from 66,115 in 2015 to 207,827 in 2022, while the number of land conservation deeds within the framework of land conservation increased from 36,043 to 188,664 over the same period.
In sum, the total number of land conservation acts carried out within the framework of collective conservation in rural areas between 2016 and 2022 amounts to 913,700, according to data from the ANCFCC.
Regarding forest land preservation, the total area of forest land preserved stands at 6,481,740 hectares, of which 3,374,188 hectares were preserved between 2016 and 2022, an increase of 52%.
The area of collective land preserved covers 4,741,726 hectares, of which 3,940,490 hectares were preserved between 2016 and 2022, representing an increase of 83%.
