In just 24 hours, 88 new severe cases were admitted to intensive care for a total of 439, this Thursday, April 1, said the Ministry of Health in its daily epidemiological report. The cases under non-invasive ventilation are 209 while those under intubation are 26.
In addition, Morocco has recorded in the last 24 hours, 7 deaths due to Covid-19, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 8,825. The case fatality rate is still stable this Thursday at 1.78%.
In details, the deaths are distributed as follows: 5 deaths in the Casablanca-Settat region in the city of Casablanca, 1 death in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region in the city of Oued Ed-Dahab, and finally 1 death in the region of Marrakech-Safi to the city of Marrakech. The other regions of the Kingdom have not recorded any deaths in the last 24 hours.
Morocco has also recorded 348 healings bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 483,711 remissions. The cure rate stood at 97.39% this Thursday while the total active cases observed an increase to stand at 4,140 cases (0.83%).
In addition, and as indicated by the monitoring and monitoring platform Hespress, covid.hespress.com/en, the Kingdom has identified during the last 24 hours, 579 new confirmed cases of Covid-19, bearing the national total of proven contaminations at 496,676. However, the occupancy rate of the intensive care beds dedicated to Covid-19 reached 13.9%, while the cumulative incidence rate reached 1365.9%.
Regarding vaccination, the number of beneficiaries of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign reached 4,329,244, including 3,767,210 totally, reports the department of Khalid Ait Taleb.
