81,220 candidates for the Bac exams, including 395 with disabilities and 205 prisoners

Some 81,220 candidates, including 31,697 free, are candidates for the exams for the 2nd year of the baccalaureate for the 2022 session, at the level of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region. This represents an increase 9.5% compared to the number of candidates for 2021.

In a press release, the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region specifies that the total number of candidates for the baccalaureate exams in public education in the region has reached 41,408 applicants, both women and men, while the total number of applicants for private education reached 8,115 applicants.

The Academy indicates that it has mobilized more than 23,000 executives and stakeholders to manage the operations related to this national test, including 5,718 teachers, women and men, in charge of the correction process in approximately 41 centers spread over the seven departments, while allowing teachers to carry out the correction process outside of their original directions based on the greeting card.

Regarding the distribution of the number of candidates at the level of the regional directorates, the provincial directorate of Rabat saw the participation of 10,013 candidates, 12%, against 18,915 candidates at the level of the provincial directorate of Salé (23 %), 11,677 at the level of the provincial leadership of Skhirat Temara (14%), then 9,385 candidates at the level of the provincial leadership of Khémisset (12%), 16,109 candidates for the provincial leadership of Kenitra (20%), 4,768 candidates for the provincial leadership of Sidi Slimane, an increase of 6%, and 10,353 candidates for the provincial leadership of Sidi Kacem (13%).

On the other hand, the number of candidates for the baccalaureate exams, session 2022, among students with disabilities reached 396, who benefit from the process of adapting the exams, while the number of candidates in prison establishments is of 205, distributed between the central prison of Salé (52 candidates), the central prison of Kénitra (102 candidates), and the local prison of Khemisset (51 candidates).

In accordance with ministerial directives and the regulations governing the national baccalaureate examination, the language of the tests will be adapted to the benefit of the category of candidates from other education systems, such as the children of Moroccan immigrants who have returned to the country or the children of immigrants residing in Morocco.

With regard to the distribution by sector, the number of candidates for the 2nd year Baccalaureate examinations in the scientific, technical and professional poles reached 40,569 candidates, i.e. 49.95%, while the number of candidates for the Arts, Human Sciences and Original Education poles reached 40,651 (50.05%).

As regards the examination centers mobilized for this purpose, their number reached 225, including 28 in Rabat, 49 in Salé, 36 in Skhirat Temara, 31 in Khemisset, 42 in Kenitra, 12 in Sidi Slimane, and 27 in Sidi Kacem.
